Building a Spring Reverb Revisited

I am looking to build a spring reverb on a vero board. I have done some research and found a vero layout of a Cook Spring Reverb. I have all the parts for this including a three spring Accutronics reverb tank froma Fender amp. This layout is from the original version and I found info that there is a better version but I can't find a vero layout for it. Can anyone verify whether the layout below works and, if so, whether it is even worth building?  Thanks.
