Delay Time Mod

I just need to know if this is the correct way to mod my delay pedal the way id like

The idea is the single pole switches between the 3pts's function, on one direction it kills all delay time, for a nice slap back short delay sound,
in the other direction it runs through the massive resistor i plan on putting in route, in series with the pot, adding a crazy long delay.

Maybe it's just me...maybe I should know by the wiring diagram you posted which project you are attempting to mod.  ???

But....I think it would be to your advantage to "help" the people trying to help you by letting us in on the "mystery" project so that we can help you!

What project are you trying to mod? Please post a schematic or link to a schematic.
I just designed a new fuzz circuit! It almost sounds a little different than the last fifty fuzz circuits I designed! ;)

Your 3PDT switch is drawn the wrong direction. Flip it 90 degrees and it will be the correct orientation.

The circuit would definitely help. Does the delay pot usually go to ground? When you have the 3PDT in the position where it 'breaks' the connection between the pot and PCB, the circuit may put up a fuss since it isn't connected to ground. Also, is the a PT2399 circuit? If so, then I believe the chip always needs a small resistance on the delay pin or it shuts down? (may need someone to verify or you could look it up on this forum).

Which combinations are you after? (as stated before it's best to have some very small resistance for slapback I believe, especially for PT2399)

EDIT I am such a 'paint' wizard
Piss poor playing is why i make pedals.

ok never mind that my 3pt  is facing the wrong way, i  know that

to gcme93

when the 3pt
is set to the assigned to top cluster, it will demonstrate   number 3

when its set to the lower cluster  i want the toggle switch to be able to choose between 1 and 4

ive done no resistance jumping the variables on the pot and it works fine, no problem with the circuit.

this is for the guyatone tube echo, which i cant find any schematics for but i have taken pictures of the chips, not sure which one is for the delay..

the ic i see are
3 4580D JRC H089Bs

there is also 311D JRC 7019B
082BD JRC H013B

here you go!

you only need a SPDT footswitch! (I'd suggest a DPDT so you can use LED's for each switch, but I've drawn it with a 3PDT just to make it clear that that one is the footswitch)

EDIT oops I uploaded it as an avatar pic!

Soo have you tried it yet?
