Though they are getting harder to find these days, the extruded aluminum boxes used for older external modems (33kbd and below) are often qute suitable for enclosures.  Many will make a nice substitute for the Hammond 1590DD size, should you want to stick a few FX in one chassis.  You can fidn them at yard sales, Goodwill stores, or any of the last-gasp computer stores that sell surplus or older equipment to folks behind the curve.
