Setting up a transistor

Thanks for the replies and making this thread alive

Hmm, i know different person has different styles

So how do you guys make your own design of dirt transistor based circuit (dont include diodes, i mean i know what those clipping diodes do..... Im asking the amplifying part first)

Do you work backwards? Or start with the Vb? Or where?

Just asking for your opinions

R.G. has intimated before that people going from transistor to circuit are working backwards compared to the value of working the other way around.

The ideal would be to generate a circuit that is largely independent of the transistor, using the amps and voltage biases on C/E Load and divider to Q1 base to create a circuit that works and then plug in a transistor of the right gain so that these values stay as close as possible to the original design intentions. The second goal would be to achieve this within a wider range of gains, so that differences of the transistors individually are negligible in how it affects the circuit's Q-point and biasing, etc.
If I can solve the problem for someone else, I've learned valuable skill and information that pays me back for helping someone else.
