Extra wire on DISTORTION lug 2 on russian bmp??

I have a partially disassembled green russian BMP in front of me. There's two wires coming off of distortion lug 2. One goes to the pcb as per the schematic. The other one is not currently connected to anything and I can't figure out why this is there and where it could go. Did the green russian use some crazy switching?

Might just be a manufacturing fluke, accidentally soldered 2 wires and too lazy to just clip it off.
