Hi,

A friend of mine blew his Chorus Ensemble CE-1

So, after checking everything the transformer shows no output voltage and I can't find any info on how much volts should it give to the PCB

Does someone knows if there's only one version of it?

Well...

According to the schematic I found here:

http://www.generalguitargadgets.com/boss/BossCE-1v2.gif

It looks like a step down transformer from 120VAC to a center-tapped secondary that provides 18V-0V-18VAC should do it. They are pretty common so I would think it is just a matter of finding one that fits the voltage, current, and size requirements you desire.

Good Luck  ;D

P.S. Apparently, there are 2 versions of the pedal. Both schematics are on the GGG website!

The transformen has only two output cables ... They get to a dpdt power switch And then to the Pcb ... So i'm a little confused

As you can see in the schematic, the transformer SHOULD have 3 outputs. 2 of them do go to the DPDT switch (those are your 18VAC outputs)

The 3rd output is the GROUND that is used for the circuit. I do not know how yours is wired up but, the PROPER way would be to follow the schematic and use a center-tapped transformer. I believe the "proper" rating would be 120VAC input and 36VAC output CENTER TAPPED.

EDIT: Some older transformer-based pedals either clipped or did not use the center tap on the secondaires. Instead, they just tied ALL of the ground points together and I believe they went back to the neutral connection of the primary or the Earth connection of the power plug. I would advise going according to the schematic though  :-X
