Ittttt wwwoooorrrrkkksss!!!! But I'm not too impressed with the tone, it seems that the sound I get is thicker, not necessarily more trebley. Also not nearly enough gain for my taste.

Try changing the .022µf and the .47µf caps to smaller values.....0022µf

or.....just build this:

if ya pull the 10uF off the emitter, you'll lose some gain, but also lots of bottom. then you could reduce the emitter resistor to ~470R, and increase the 2k2 and 2k2 on the collector to ~3k3. more gain, probably now a different circuit though.
