Hi there. Ive been dying to build clone of this awesome fuzz.
Ive found this layout but there are a few thing that im not sure of.

I spent some time designing the wirinig, with the little help grom general guitar gadgets layouts.

Here it is, what Im not following is grounding, I dont really now how to ground it all. Second thing is that i dont know what goes to Level pin 3.
Also wanted to ask weather the connection of potentiometers seems right? Id really love to get it to work. Anybody with a help?
Plus where should be the PCB output?

you can see grounding on the schematic. All spots marked ground, the input & output sleeves and (-) of battery go to a common point.

lug 1 of the level pot is grounded. from that, you can figure out the orientation of the rest

from the schematic, you can see the pcb output

good luck

Oh thanks, its more clear now. :) But isnt it the 3rd level lug that should be grounded? Also the capacitors that are not further specified, i mean the material, are on my free will? IT doesnt matter wheather its electrolytic or film?

SmoothAction

For a volume pot its always lug 1 to ground, lug 2 to output tip, lug 3 pcb out.

As for your capacitor question, C4 is an electrolytic, which has a + and - side. Its polarity is labeled in the schematic. Look at C3...it is not specified, therefore it would be a film, mylar, etc... non polarized.  :)

ok so the lug that is not connected to anything shall be connected to ground? otherwise its ok? about the capacitor thing, will using various capacitors affect the sound?

Quoteok so the lug that is not connected to anything shall be connected to ground?

The lug not connected on the level pot (3) goes to the output jack tip connection of the 3pdt for effect engaged position.  Lug 1 goes to ground and lug to goes to the board marked filter 1+2, level 2. The 3pdt in the offboard wiring drawing is incomplete and will only have bypass in one position, nothing in the other, and the led will not light. Treat level pot lug 3 like the "out" on a board in this case and wire the switch accordingly.

I would just like to point out that the way the level pot is wired here is atypical.  It will usually look like this:

The value of the capacitor is the only thing you have to worry about.

Hi.
I am new to this forum and I'm planning to build this pedal. This is my first attempt, so excuse my "stupid" questions....
Just wondering. The R5 = 10k resistor is the one that makes the difference between "gated" and "oscillation". Which switch-position is "gated"? The one "with the resistor" or the one "directly too ground"?
I am planning to put a pot in place of the R5 10k, to be able to control the amount of "gate" or "oscillation".
If I replace the R5 = 10K with a linear 10K pot, I only reduce the difference between both switch-positions. What will happen when I replace the 10K with a 20K linear pot? I assume that would give me more control over the gate/oscillation in both  directions. Any ideas?
Next change would be replacing the toggle switch with a 3pdt, to be able to change from "gate" to "oscillation" on stage while playing.

Thanks for your comments in advance.
