A customer bought a Roland Double Beat Fuzz-Wah in yesterday, looking to get the volume drop on the wah fixed.

Indeed there is a big old volume drop. If we take a look at the schematic, it becomes fairly obvious why:

Is that a voltage divider (47k / 33k resistor) in front of the Wah section ie. basically a half-closed volume control? Yep, as little sense as it makes, there it is.

THE FIX
-Snip out / desolder the 33k resistor (Orange/Orange/Orange) and discard
-Solder a jumper across the 47k resistor (Yellow/Violet/Orange)
Alternatively, snip out / desolder that resistor too and move the yellow wire (Wah input, from the wah switch) to the pad on the other side of the resistor

The volume drop should be fixed now. Still sounds a bit quiet in the heel down position due to the high-end being completely chopped off; fixing that will be my next task. I'll share the results of that (more than likely, just changing a capacitor value. I'm pretty new to way pedals though, truth be told)
