I posted about this 2 years ago but without providing pics and just forgot about it...

...Now I'm revisiting this just for curiosity sake and with pics!!!

I believe all the transistors are BS170s and the IC chip is a 4558 JRC type.

I don't have many overdrives and distortion circuits to compare this to, my limited circuit knowledge is within fuzzes and boosters.

It doesn't sound like a tube screamer variant + a booster circuit???  ...so its been abit of a mystery to me for awhile.

This is under the assumption that this pcb is not necessarily uncommon, I don't believe this is unique circuit based on the pro looking pcb.

Yep! thats it! Thanks!!!

I haven't tried/used an actual tubescreamer in years, mostly because i had found the tone "generic" for me.... i was thinking because of the tone options in this pedal that it wasn't a tubescreamer clone but knowing that dual op amp was there always made me wonder.

this has been my go to overdrive pedal for a few years now.
