So I built a fuzz face a while back, and it does not sound quite right. I asked about it a while ago and got some transistor voltages:
Q1
Collector
1.4v
Base
0.6v
Emitter
0.0v
Q2
Collector
4.5v
Base
1.4v
Emitter
0.8v
I checked the voltages on the transistors and they're all good except the collector on Q2, which is reading at only about 2.4v. Would this be causing the pedal to work incorrectly? And what can I do to rectify it?

Remove the 8k2 resistor that goes from 9v to the collector of q2.

Replace it with two wires. Solder the wires to a 10k or 20k pot (lugs 1 and 2)

Turn the pot until you get 4.5ish volts on the collector or until you get a sound you like (I like it nearer to 5v myself)

Unsolder the pot and measure the resistance between lugs 1 and 2

Unsolder the wires and replace with a the nearest resistor you have - so long as it's within 1.5k or so it won't make much difference.

Wig out.

Awesome, thanks for the help!
