After many years of struggling with "Marshall" tones, I kept going back to Engl turned down tones and
dirt boxes in front of super clean preamps. Turns out I never thought to try a Mesa Mark2c into a 4x12.
The 2c always sounded shrill to me as I only heard 1x12 combos. The MFX mark2c model with a
tone tubby 4x12 or 4x12 g12t70 is the tone Ive been trying to get the whole time.
I've emailed MFX for any info on how the patch was made and with what parameters we cannot
see without their editor. Hoping to translate that into a guide.

I want to emulate the GNX mark 2c patch. Not sure how to start.
Should I start with the red circuits fender twin, the medved fender twin, or the boogyman with mu amps?
J201's overload too easy for me so I'm wondering if the mu amp arrangement would be cleaner.
Would like to utilize bs170's as gain stages.
Guitars are all good dual humbuckers with "tele mode" splits for the neck.
Anyone working on a mk2c emulator? Any suggestions.

Goal, Clean bell like fender (done), high gain articulate hell (done Engl mod3), low grit clean (done bs170 plexi),
low to high gain and lead, mesa mark2c (new build).

Now that I figured out the eq driver issue on with the fun.
I was working on a 3 stage clipper/od with J201's with mosfet clippers and Led clippers in between
before I found the Azabache.
I was going for using the clippers as limiting to soften the hard clip point on the 201's.
Judging by the Brilliant Azabache, I think I'm on the right track.
I'm hoping that I can come up with a smooth distortion engine that can be fed
by multiple tone shaping front end preamps.

Going for Bc549 gain stages driving J201 or 2n5457 with clippers in between this time.
Bc549 for voltage gain, clippers for limiting, Jfet (without source caps) for added distortion
and harmonic content. Probably 2 stages, and one switchable over the top additional.
Sound about right?
