Ha!  I actually made cringing face when I saw this last photo!   :icon_lol:

lol! yeah it was kinda dumb, but it was my first non-household-item enclosure. add to that the piss-poor soldering and it was a nightmare. i regularly box stuff up these days, and plan it for quite a while (despite incompetent drilling) so i've become a bit more sensible with what i can squeeze into an enclosure, for the most part. i just figured a mere boost was an awful waste of space for my bassist's pedal! (again: stupid batteries!)

It's a little embarrassing when you are tightening the box's screws and there's a little gap between the lid and the box and you just tighten 'er down, ignoring little crunching sounds.

Pickdropper Dave's dual Shoot the Moon tremolo + Little Angel Chorus in a 1590A is the most I've ever seen crammed into a 1590A.

I've never done anything even close to that ... I did solderman's 1590A trivibe, but at least that was just two knobs and a switch.

Yeah, I was going to post this.  It is the most stuffed built that I've ever done.

In addition to the standard full-sized enclosed jacks, standard DC power and 3PDT, it has:

6 pots
1 3PDT toggle (full size body)
3 LEDs

Top pic for reference to go with the gut shot:

:icon_lol: "ignoring the little crunching sounds." Too funny.

Wow - next hobby, ships-in-a-bottle, I suppose? You seem pretty dextrous for a guy who drops his pick all the time....

Impressive!

Do the Speed & Depth pots have to be installed in the box before you solder their legs to the board? Or am I missing something?

Thanks!  Dropping picks isn't the problem.  Dropping the soldering iron, on the other hand....

None of the pots or switches are board mount, so I had to wire everything up with ribbon cable.  I did have to leave a couple of them a bit longer than usual so that I could load them in the enclosure.  It was a bit fiddly.

Just don't reflexively try to stop it from falling - ask me how I know...

solderingirondropper does NOT have the ring to it that pickdropper does, I see where you are coming from.

Aha. So the pads we see the back of, lead to bits of ribbon cable, got it. In the pic it looks like those side pots are board mount, which seemed tricksy as all hell to me...

Late to the party and I don't have too many pics but heres Payback v1.0:

Double Payback with stacked DIP ICs:

An alpha Payback v2.0:

I don't have any pics on hand but the Acute Modestscream is pretty tight using SMD parts with all the extra opamps, diodes, and switching.

Andrew - - I know this isn't relevant to the topic, but I was hoping you could share photographs of your mechanical switch builds  :)
