Hi,

I've got lot's of 2W metal film resistors that I used for amps, and as I'm now turning more and more towards building Fuzzes I'm wondering if these resistors are ok also for pedal making or not?

I don't mind their physical size but I don't want them to raise the noise level of the circuit.

They should be just fine. If anything, higher wattage resistors might be less noisy, although I'm not sure if that applies to metal film resistors (see http://www.aikenamps.com/ResistorNoise.htm). Either way, all other things being equal, I've never heard of higher wattage resistors being noisier.

Thanks.

I'm going for an "old school look circuit boards" and these resistors are about the same size as the old carbon comp resistors used back in the day  8)
(I use carbon comp in some builds as well)
