I have a Mark2/boogyman eq in a pedal. The input is currently driven off
the first 2n5457 from the azabachi. The output is currently a bc549 gain stage.
I need to isolate the eq into a universal variant that can run as follows:
1) as a 9-12v pedal, 2) as a +15 graft into an existing hybrid amp.
Since this will be used with high gain as well, I'd like to get the noise floor down and
limit the ultra high end shrill spikes.  :icon_evil:
I have, J201 (do not want to use due to humbuckers), 2n5457, bs170, mpf102, Bc549, 2n5088, mps2222, 2sd786.
I'd rather not use an opamp on the input unless it's the only way due to the "choked" or "Blanket" sound.

I've failed to make a properly functional transparent low noise, input buffer and variable gain output.
I need help because I'm an idiot when it comes to impedence matching. :icon_redface:
I strongly believe others will find the idea of having the MK2 eq as a pedal quite usefull.
In addition one could probably add a marshall pre-eq as well in the same box allowing you to
seriously change your ss or hybrid amps flavors. I did put an effects loop after the eq so I could run
a different pre effects set but have not needed it yet.
One will go in a pedal to carry around along with a cornish buffer, an od and a/b output switch.
2 more will go into my hybrid amp with the controls in the back or "set it and forget it" trimpots
TIA
