Anybody seen these?  Given they're cheap, and that I see a rack pinion in it, it's not optical.  I see a transformer, so I'm gonna guess that's the inductor and it's a CryBaby clone, without the buffers.  I like their idea of having a dust shield around the pot.  I think the Teese Eqwahlyzers use the same kind of enclosure.

I believe that is a plastic enclosure, and more then likely a basic inductor wah type circuit like a crybaby.

If I where you I'd spend my money on building my own with an enclosure from small bear or getting an old broken wah for cheap and rebuilding the guts to your own liking.

The way I see it , if you bought it just for parts your still in to much really($25 on amazon). You might get a couple of jacks, a rack and pinion, probably a cheapo pot you wont want to use forever. And I'm just gonna go out on a limb and say those components may be budget quality and you would be better off buying them on your own.

You can probably get a broken crybaby on ebay or locally for 20 bucks. And you might get lucky and have a lot of usable higher quality parts inside. Especially the enclosure.

I didn't see a transformer and the power input jack is not what we normally like in the diy world (would have to isolate it from our normal enclosures/power type -center)

And woah, the demo video .... the demo video ... I just spent 5 minutes ill never get back watching some of the guitar videos on their pylecustomerreview youtube page .  :icon_eek:

I'm not a mean person so I'll just slowly back away.

I think if you get really frugal you can build a better wah for the same price , reuse ,recycle ,resomething... maybe its remember or refuse or revenge! oh yeah thats probably it hahaha :D

I hope what I said comes off light hearted, because its just my 2 cents on the internet.

Yeah, I saw things like it at NAMM last year. Plastic case, and I did not attempt to buy blanks because of obvious reliability concerns. I notice that these guys are not all that far from my shop in Sunset Park, so I'll make time to visit them and see what is going on.

A contender for best worst demo of a wah.
One commenter suggests demoing a tuning pedal before doing any more demos.

It did, I'm not new to building wah pedals.  I got started when I was about 14, when I bought a 1st version Crybaby 535Q (Before they put the red Fasel in them) and put a Yellow in it.  I'm getting the itch again, I just can't really find even a busted up Crybaby for less than 20 on ebay OR Craigslist.  And I don't like paying 40-60 for a bare enclosure when a brand new wah costs 70.00 from Dunlop, and I could spare the pot and jacks like you said.

I just don't want a Vox or Crybaby PCB, with the new buffers.  I have a GCB-95 that's been modded to hell that's just gathering dust because it just doesn't sound right, no matter how I try and tune it.

Just saw that on Pyle's site (Was looking for a power amp) and thought it looked like the Eqwahlyzer enclosures, but now that I look again, they do look like plastic enclosures in those Pyle ones...

would be interested in seeing the guts of the pyle, for fun.
i am a believer in plastic, unfortunately the public perception is what it is.
metal is still so abundant. when you have something as robust as a crybaby enclosure or especially the ernie ball, it is hard to justify a plastic wah or volume pedal unless it beats the 30 dollar *new* price point.

isher, i hear ya, it takes extensive modding to make the gcb95 board work. i have recently had ebay success with some mod kits based on the whole gcb95 pcb and harness, easier to send a kit than an entire wah to europe etc.

for my 'faux boomer' i end up removing all but 4 resistors as far as signal path goes. but the boards are so plentiful, and the platform so ubiquitous, it makes sense. there are components under the board as well.

my life is a tribute to the the great men and women who held this country together when the world was in trouble. my debt cannot be repaid, but i will do my best.

Just download the PDF manual on the site to see the guts.
Looks like a regular cry baby with the stomp switch in an unusual spot.
