Hi there ,

My name is Philip . I'm beginner with electronics (I have some equipment and basic skills) .
Now i'm trying to make distortion pedal with (2-3) potentiometers  , but i can't find what I was looking for .
I'm can't read Schematics weary well. So is there any easy build project for me ?

I will use Banzaimusic.com for ordering .

Thanks a lot :)

Welcome!
Try madbeanpedals.com or tonepad.com
They have a lot of projects with documentation.
They also sell PCBs if you don't want to do it by yourself.
Those sites are a good starting point.
have fun

It doesn't look hard (when you have ocb of course) , but I will try to make pcb my self .
But i sill get confused then it comes to ordering parts for pedals .
I can find all Diodes , Transistors, IC , pots , and switch, but I can't find right Resistors a caps   :(
Can anyone help me with that ?

Thanks

smallbearelec.com is a great supplier, and a member here...

I use Newark Electronics for most stuff...Allied electronics....Mouser.....those are some BIG suppliers, and they have EVERYTHING (mostly) that you could ever need.

Ebay sells capacitor kits (I suggest getting one!!! Small caps, like .001 to .68uF in value, 100 pcs. etc etc), and probably resistor packages (tons of values, the E12 series).    Radio Shack has resistor packs too.     You'll need 'big caps' like 1uF, 10uF, 22uF, and so on, probably 16V to 25V, from RS, Newark, Mouser, Small Bear, etc.

Check out small bear's site, he is affiliated and will personally come to your rescue if you need assistance!!!

Just for fun, from the Slow Loris BOM, in the same order, parts from Banzai Music:

Resistors - metal film resistors have the lowest noise, so if you can live without the NOS mojo, they're best for stompboxes:

You can compare your build with a kit like http://www.musikding.de/Ratt-Deluxe-Kit or http://buildyourownclone.com/effects-pedals/distortion/mouse.html. I wanted to recommend the BYOC kit, but the european distributor is charging over 30% more for it. Musikding also sells only the PCB.
