I have a friend who asked me to look at his EH POG.  It was lighting up, but no signal was passing through.  After months of staring at the surface mounted, microscopic components, I sort of gave up.  Then, I thought, why not go old school.  I resoldered all the basic connections (jacks, I/O, etc.)  BAM!  It works...sort of.  There is a beautiful, chord-like organ sound that the pedal makes, regardless of whether you are playing an instrument or not.  If you do play an instrument, it reacts accordingly (I think) and seems to work fine, but for the extra organ music.  LOL...

Any thoughts?

So you're saying it's making a droning output, with no input?
Is this the original, big box POG?
Those do have a chip in a socket that you can pull out and stick back in, while the power is off.  Sometimes that will provide a reset that clears out weird behavior.

I will try that.  I was thinking about that, but the chip was secured really well, and I did not want to screw up anything.
