A buddy of mine is coming to visit me in a few weeks and he asked me if i need something. And I was like "well, here is a list". He lives in Vienna and he is not into electronics. So I am asking you all kind people from Austria, could you supply me with information so that my friend could also supply me with some parts ?

Please, pretty please.

There is not much left from the electronic stores in vienna.  The only thing left are three branches from Conrad Electronic:

I have to say that even stores in my country have a better choice of electronic parts compared to conrad. Is it possible that you don't have a better choice?

Please tell me about the options of delivery from farnell. Are they going to deliver to his home or is going to have to go and pick up the order? How fast and expensive is the delivery?

I don't have a clue about how it goes in Austria ... but if parts are "in stock" in Europe (i.e. not overseas), it will be usually less than a week.

Wait for comment from some fellow Austrian to be sure 100% ...

Zdravo!

Farnell are pretty fast, I've gotten things from England to my house here Slovenia that suprised my by arriving very next day after ordering. Though they do seem to bit to the more industrial side and some less common chips could be had for less elsewhere.

No idea about how its in about Austria but here in neighbouring Slovenia there isn't that much selection either. Theres a couple of Conrad shops, and three or four other that are also mainly resellers for Farnell, Buerklin and the other big catalogs (though one store always has a big stock of Neutrick plugs and Mogami guitar and mic cable so that comes in handy). There were a couple of small shops with components but now mainly sell rechargeable batteries  :-\ . I've currently taken to chasing amateur radio enthusiasts for old parts boxes filled with oddball transistors and such.

Well It's not like you have a lot to choose from when it comes to shopping electronic parts here in Serbia. We have 5-6 medium to small sized stores. And they are not supplied well. For instance 3pdt is scarce as f**k here. But at least 2 of those stores have a better choice than that conrad thing.

Anyhow I'm on a "quest" for lm 386, but N3. I've seen that Franell has them, and N4 as well. Any one tried lm 386 N4? Any difference compared to N1?

I can advise you to raid an old military junk yard. If Serbia has a couple of them Slovenia is bound to have at least one.
