Hey, this is my first post so sorry if I've posted it in the wrong place.

As a little project and my first attempt at anything DIY when it comes to pedals I decided to rehouse my Behringer BDI21. Considering the steaks were low I thought I'd jump straight in with my limited knowledge of circuits and try to do everything without looking for instructions anywhere.
My goal was to take all the onboard pots, gnd switch, 1/4" jacks, xlr, LED and 9v jack and replace them with offboard versions so I could get them in the enclosure easier. I also did a little simple mod I found on youtube and removed the power switch from the pedal as when I do use it it is always on.
After successfully replacing everything, and checking the pedal still worked in between replacing each part, all that was left was the 9v jack. To be honest I got a little over excited at my success with everything else and assumed I would be fine replacing this without any help. I'm not sure what I did wrong but when I plugged the pedal in it had no signs of power which led to me panicking and unplugging it immediately. I unsoldered the new jack and wired the old 9v jack back to the board just to be certain I was doing it right. Now when I plug the pedal in the LED lights up but it doesn't seem to receive any input from my bass. It does however output a shh sound and a low buzz.
I would assume that I had wired the jack with reversed polarity and that the pedal was burnt out and just chuck the pedal away. But the pots and the mod that I made to the pedal still have the same effects on the outputted sound, therefore I am hoping that my efforts haven't all been for absolutely nothing. I also cant see any burnt components on the board. Does anyone have any idea what this is or what it could be?

Thanks for any help  :icon_biggrin:

welcome to the forum.

do you have a dmm? we'll need some voltages, even if we can't have a circuit. do you have a circuit diagram? and of course, we want to see pictures of the offending item.
