Mystery BD-2 mod

I'm wondering if someone can help me put a name to a BD-2 mod...

I picked up a used BD-2 this evening. I knew I was getting a modded unit - the switch on the front looked like a Keeley-type mod. When I got it home, I opened it up to see what had been done.

Clearly an amateur job. 8 caps changed on the board and a cap added in parallel across the cap on the tone knob (on the switch). Also, the 4 clipping diodes have been replaced with two 5mm red LEDs.

I've made a list of all the changes (inc values), but don't want to detail them here in case it's a proprietary mod.

I don't think it's a Keeley mod, and probably not a Monte Allums one. Any ideas? Anyone heard of a BD-2 mod that uses red LEDs as clipping diodes?
