DOD FX92 Bass Grunge mod question

How do you mod the Bass grunge to get more treble out of "zip"/tone control, and more clarity at lower gain and/or blend settings?   I've been playing bass for 20 years but I am not an electrician, I've never soldered anything, and I'm not about to start on my 20+ year pedals, but I want as much info from people experienced with these things so I can tell whoever exactly what I want done.  I'm trying to get the Overkill/Anthrax sorta bass sound, and im very, very close with with my dod bass overdrive set almost clean with tone/treble cranked to get an active pick-like sound running into the grunge with just milder sort of distortion, blend low and tone fairly low but I also get unpleasant hiss, which turns to feedback if I run anything after.  I want to achieve the sound of both pedals with my grunge by itself, and have gotten real close, but it still lacks in the high end.  I'm stationed in Hawaii, so repair guys are few and far between, but one local amp repair guy said swapping out the tone pot might do it, ive also read to do this as a last resort so I dunno?  I've seen older posts with mod questions about DOD brand, so I figured this is the place to ask.  I love the sound of both the overdrive and grunge, both have their strengths, I love the distortion range of the bass grunge even though I never have to use all of it, the bass overdrive sounds great no matter what I do with it, I just cant quite get the sound with either solo, but the grunge is a little closer at mild settings.  If it's of any help, the settings I use on Dod Bass Overdrive (sample setting called "meaty treat" in manual) LEVEL 1:00-1:30, BLEND just past 3:00, TONE between noon and all the way, DRIVE 10:30, for Dod Bass Grunge LEVEL 2:00, BLEND 10:00, TONE hair below 9:00,DRIVE bout 7:30 or just barely on.  The closest I got to replicate these 2 on Grunge by itself is BLEND hair above 9:00, TONE completely cranked, DRIVE all the way down, LEVEL from3:00-4:30, I don't know if this helps anyone to see what im trying to do, but it lacks bite in TONE. Short of replacing it with a Darkglass B7k and B3K(down the road), any ideas from anyone?  Thanks in advance!!!
