Advice needed for re-wiring a SHO circuit.

A friend of mine made a SHO boost circuit that I'm going to rehouse, but I've not done much soldering or wiring (just guitar pickups) and no next to nothing about electronics, so I need some advice on attempting some alterations.

I want to remove the battery snap, LED, and the most problematic; replace the foot switch with a toggle switch

Here's the wiring diagram of the circuit I have: http://diy.musikding.de/wp-content/uploads/2013/06/hardonewire.pdf

Is it possible to have a toggle? and how do I rewire the circuit to take out the battery and LED?

EDIT: Apparently I just need a DPDT on-on switch? (With 6 connectors like the foot switch?) - if so, how would I wire it up?

Thanks
