Hi All

I'm just finishing up a Mad Bean Current Lover build. The last piece of the project is the
MN3207. Samll Bear seems to be out of the MN3207 but has the MN3007.

Are there any suppliers you would recommend for the MN3207?

I found the following
http://store.synthrotek.com/MN3207_long_delay_IC

I have never dealt with them before so not sure of the quality.

There are a lot listed on Ebay and from AliExpress but like most of the post have stated,
there are a lot of fake ones.

Any help would be appreciated

Search for BL3207 (Shanghai Belling) and V3207 (Cool Audio)

These are clone ICs of the MN3207 which are currently still in production.
I just designed a new fuzz circuit! It almost sounds a little different than the last fifty fuzz circuits I designed! ;)

Those BL3207 are really cheap on eBay! Anyone have any experience with their performance?

And like many cheap chips on ebay, they may work as well for your purpose as a clump of table salt.

Counterfeit chips and semiconductors are rife on ebay. "Ebay chip" is rapidly becoming a synonym for "counterfeit".

In response to the questions in the forum - PCB Layout for Musical Effects is available from The Book Patch. Search "PCB Layout" and it ought to appear.

I bought the BL3207 and the V3207 directly from the factories, so they are in stock and guaranteed Not to be fake. I had samples tested on arrival to make sure they worked.

BTW: On-line Offers of the V3205 should be approached with caution. I had to return a lot that would not bias correctly, and it would not surprise me if some of those wound up on E-Bay.

Any particular reason you wouldn't switch to the MN3007? You'd only have to remove a few diodes and switch the jumpers on the Madbean unit. .
