Hi

I've built about 3/4 dr. boogie and tested with different guitar/ampli setup, even compared and recorded a demo, with the real Mesa boogie dual rectifier.. the big one!! (I have the video demo in my YT channel) and never had problem with screaming and feedback, not hum or noise, even powered with a cheap wall wart regulated and filtered (diy lm317 crk)
They are built with the same PCB layout (thank FrequencyCentral), in 1590BB encl., even in some crappy self bent aluminium encl. and with almost the same wiring, ... and no insulated wiring for in and out.

Now I've just built this one for a friend, and hear at ''19... what's that?!?

His playing with a les paul con EMG hz H4 into a valve Marshall 50W ampli, don't know about powering, unfortunately this guy lives at 300km away from me, so I cannot be there to make other tests.

So what you think ? I'm scared about sending the pedal up and down by post (in Italy...  ::)) to check if anything gone wrong.

I'm going to suggest to try to power it with battery and try a different set-up, in the mean time suggestions and opinions and more than welcome!

Thanks!
Armando

No, no shielded in/out unfortunately ( I wrongly wrote insulated above  ::))

I never had one squeeling, even with a LP and a Mesa B. amp at 40cm, that's why I didn't ... but.... i though that.... ... it must be also something with my friend's guitar PU... those hz4!!

Ok... time for "customer service".....  ;D

Sounds like a ground issue prior to the squeel or perhaps even the V+ getting into the audio signal.

thanks, I doubt about V+ into audio signal though, it was working fine when I did the last test A/B-ing it with another one I have, before to send it to my friend,  though a ground issue is something to think about....

Thanks
