I have finished my vero copy of a Blackstar HT and it sounds great. A lot of mods along the way-- I started with a ciruit of a dual-ht from the wb running on AC. It is now a single on 22v DC and with a baxandall tone control stage, a few other modes too: the valve is red at the bottom, orange in the middle and blue when you play.
So: I have tried and I really want to share my pics and schematic. I have put the pics on my website: www.mikehoughton.co.uk\Blagstar

but I just cannot get them to show on the forum. Please help me do this. Thanks
PSD next project is a homebrew delay -- I plan to cascade ICs to get tape like echos....

thanks

Directory listing is forbidden for that folder on your website, so we can't even look there. Provided you have hotlinking enabled, you can add images to your post using the IMG tag, or this button: , which adds the start and end tags to your post. The syntax is
[img]URLofYourImage[/img]
Where URLofYourImage is the URL of the image you want to include, like www.mikehoughton.co.uk\Blagstar\img1.jpg
If you don't have hotlinking enabled, use a free image hosting service like http://imgur.com/ (it includes many tools and tutorials).

To be honest, this forum uses really old software, but the basics are still there.

it was hemmel that pointed out to me that your addresses have backslashes ( \ ) in your urls. these need to be translated to forward slashes ( / ) instead. I have seen your pics after copy/pasting your backslashed address into my browser address bar, but only because the browaser did a backslash-to-forward slash translation while I wasn't looking.

so this link from another thread:
[img]http://www.mikehoughton.co.uk\Blagstar\top2.jpg[/img]
needs to be this:
[img]http://www.mikehoughton.co.ukBlagstar/top2.jpg[/img]

in order to show like this:

and there is at least one image that moved or been renamed that isn't found. please excuse my intrusion, not being a moderator and everything.

Please at least have 1 forum post before sending me a PM demanding something.

Had a case of the selective blindness there. Reminds me again of how much of perception is actually sensed and how muched is presumed. Particularly since it wasn't parsed by the forum's link-alizer, I noticed that and had a good look. And then another.

I believe this is your problem...

"HTTP Error 403.14 - Forbidden" error
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/942062

I am guessing that you are hosting your own site or you are using shared hosting?
Try this...
http://www.smallworkarounds.net/2010/01/http-error-40314-forbidden-web-server.html

You may also try this..
1.) Run a command prompt as Administrator.
2.) Copy and paste the following text C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework64\v4.0.30319\aspnet_regiis.exe -i

Perhaps post them in the "Projects" area of your site?  http://www.mikehoughton.co.uk/projects.html

In any case, it's a configuration issue with your IIS server and "directory browsing" like it says in the error...
If you are not going to share/host your files somewhere else then you must correct this or you will continue to struggle with getting your links posted, anywhere on any site.

You are probably not seeing the error that we get when trying to open your links. I am guessing that you are most likely right on the server that is running IIS and they are working for you since you have full local access.. If this is correct, then this may help you to see what we are seeing...

Doesn't matter what you did to get it... If it sounds good, then it is good!

Shouldn't really be enabling the listing directory contents at all IMHO. That's why it is disabled by default in IIS. Link to images in that directory directly using the IMG tag which aren't affected by that setting. Listing directory contents is the old school version of listing all the files in a directory in a web browser, better to just link to the individual images or create a default document (aka a webpage such as default.html) and place all the images in it. If you do that, you can use the directory as the address and IIS will auto-load the default document with the images.

Yup... Opens up a gaping security hole, you don't see it much on public web servers, private intranets maybe. Directory browsing at the server level is not a good thing to do but, you can make it relativity secure by enabling it only for the directory that you want and not for anything else. You can also go a step further and make that a virtual directory and only configure it to list certain file extensions...  Or, you could just do as karbomusic said and create a default doc or add it to the content of your "Projects" page. I would opt for creating a new page with your pedals and such as a more permanent and secure solution. Keep in mind that it's shark infested waters and there is a feeding frenzy happening right at your outward facing/WAN IP!!! It's down right brutal these days!!! Recently there has been a huge flood of successful DNS amplification attacks... I have started using google and Level3 public DNS servers lately since the DNS servers my ISP has are either down, blocking or too slow to resolve without timing out...

It's a hackfest, have a look in real time!
