Just built this amazing unit, really great for the parts count! Can see the Bazz fuzz topology in here, but had a few questions -

1. why the shottky and germanium diodes?

2. the biasing seems to be very different from the bazz fuss - - how has this been determined?

4. The germanium transistor at the input is quite baffling, how does this configuration work?
