question about MXR Dist+

Might be a stupid question, but on the MXR Dist+ schematic (http://www.diystompboxes.com/pedals/MXRDIST2.GIF) it says that the effect could be improved ith true bypass switching...

What does it mean? (remember, im quite new to electronics and stuff , hehe)

When you look at the switching you'll see that the signal (coming from your guitar) is connected to the input  of the effect always no matter if the effect is on or not. This is no good!
I would give you the advice of ever useing true-bypass since it's easy and don't produces tone-loss. This means that haveing the signal connected to the effect while it's bypassed can cause the loss of high frequenzies.
With true-bypass you simply use a DPDT-switch and disconnect the signal on both ends of the circuit.

I think more about true-bypass you'll find in the FAQ section. Read it - it can't be bad :wink:
