Tubescreamer style pedal with 3 band eq?

Last year, Seymour Duncan (805) and Wampler (Clarksdale) released their TS clones with 3 band equalisers. What would be the best way for me to go about doing something like this myself? Could anyone point me towards a vero layout or something? Would the eq's have to be tweaked specially for these pedals?

For context, I'm looking at doing a veroboard copy of the boss SD-1 from tagboard effects, with a few extra mods (diode switching, and maybe a capacitor switch).

I could buy one of the two, but shit's expensive and boring. I also have a big box of capacitors, resistors, and a small stash of OPA2134 op amps to use (from modding my current retail Boss SD1)

I've though about doing a 5 band EQ TS a time or 2.
But only thought about it.

I'd remove the tone control from the SD1 and add on ROG's Tonebender for something very simple.

Thanks for the responses guys! The tonemender looks really interesting. How would I go about implementing it? Would in replace the tonestack with the tonemender or should I put the tonemender after the tubescreamer part?

You can place the Tonemender right after the clipping stage of the Tubescreamer. You won't need the Tonemender's buffer stage as the Tubescreamer's clipping opamp will already be presenting low output impedance to the passive tonestack section. In other words, connect the output of opamp A1 on the GeoFEX site to the 200k/220pF/SW1a node on the Runoffgroove site.

^ There is both an active tone control and a lowpass filter centered around the second stage in the tubescreamer. The lowpass filter is set at 723Hz and may have an effect on the overall sound that you can't get by sticking on a different active tone control. If you stick the Tone Mender in place of the second opamp, it's possible the treble control won't be able to be turned up much without the lowpass filter. I'd experiment before committing this to a layout, for sure.

Wow, sick, thanks guys. I'm gonna finish my exams soon, and I'll try to get started on this project when that's done. Might have to get a big breadboard to prototype this first. I'll try and see how this works, and compare the schematics you lot gave me, to the ones on the TBE website. It should be a nice learning experience!
