I just finished a build of the GGG Toneburner for a friend (following this schematic) .

I am absolutely no fuzz type and I have no idea if it sounds right.
However, I CAN hear that the TREBLE pot doesn't affect the sound. I seem to remember an unanswered thread to this question here in this forum somewhere here but I can't find it right now (the problem was unsolved anyway so it doesn't really matter).

I see that the BASS pot is where the TONE pot sits in a regular tonebender, so I am inclined to just skip the TREBLE pot, rename the BASS to TONE and be done with it. However that leaves me somewhat unsatisfied. Is there any chance to make this TREBLE pot manipulate the treble at all (or in a less subtle way)?

Thanks for your ideas.

1) One easy way is to connect the output to C6, or equivalently the C6 side of the treble pot.
Pretty easy to do.

2) You can do a slightly different mod:
Connect the currently unused "end" of the treble pot to the wiper of the volume pot R13.
Leave the other end of the treble pot on C6.
Take the output from the wiper of the treble pot.

In either case, if the treble is too aggressive for like this reduce C6.

According to the water analogy of electricity, transistor leakage is caused by holes.

Hey Rob,
Thanks for your quick and proficient help. I opted for mod 2 and it does work very well. I also changed the pot to a 100K and that really did the trick.
