I already found 47k resistors in place instead of 470k ones  :icon_confused: heaven knows I should stop sniffing solder fumes..... It is still not how it should be but given that awful mistake with the 470k'ers I wouldn't be surprised to find other horrid mistakes. But I'll work it out, eventually  :icon_rolleyes:

Ahh, those 47K resistor would explain your problems.
It will keep the pulsewidth narrow, not allowing the modulation to make it wider.
Glad you found a mistake, means you are on the right track :)
