Boss DD-2 Mode Pot/No Power

I got a DD-2 and the mode pot is broken (missing knob and shaft). The guy said it wouldn't power. I plugged it in and no LED lit. I checked the power diode to see if it was blown and 9v is getting to the PCB.

I desoldered the Mode pot and I was wondering if I can jumping some of the pads to test and see if the pedal will work - I'm guessing, hoping, that is what is keeping it from working.

I also looked at the DD-2 schematic and there isn't any info on the pot. Anyone know what it is - the value/part number/where I can get one?

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I think it's a switch, not a pot. Here's a recent discussion of where you could get such a switch:
