BOOS NS2 VOLUME BOOST

Hi
I have noticed that when turn my Boss ns2 noise reduction on there is an audubile volume boost.
My guitar volume encreases and i do not like it.
Is there any mod to fix this problem?

After a quick look at the schematic, I don't see any gain applied to the audio. If you put a buffered pedal in front of the NS2 do you still get a volume boost when you engage the noise gate?

The schematic shows Q3 is the output buffer, C3 is the output cap, and R1 (100K) to ground from C3, and R3 (1K) to the output jack. You should be able to replace R1 and R3 with a 100K pot and adjust the volume out. (that could be a trimmer pot you mount inside and adjust to unity volume)

What is in the loop of the NS2? Maybe there is a device in the loop that is giving you a boost.

Infact i modded the NS2 and one of the step involved changing C3 from 1u to 10u for a better bypass tone but i did not change the res (R3 and R1)
Could this mod  have increased the pedal volume when engaged?
Do i have to R3 only with a trimpot or both resistors?

Not at any frequency you can hear unless you are plugging this into something with an unusually low input impedance.

If I were to do this, I would replace R1 with e.g. a 100k pot and connect the wiper (lug 2) to R3.

Does it not affect the tone at all? i mean, does the tone remain the same before and after this mod? No bass or high sucking?
