Over the years, I've owned a lot of wah pedals and they always seem to suffer some kind of mechanical failure long before it seems like they should. I was thinking about it recently and I have an old Ernie Ball Volume pedal that I've had since the 80's that simple refuses to die. That extruded aluminum build is designed to withstand anything. Steve Morse said when he was endorsing them they gave him a box of 'em and he used a pair as tire chocks for his airplane. So I started thinking about the wah pedal Ernie Ball made a while back and ended up buying one a couple of weeks ago.

It seems really sturdy, but the tone is a little...meh.

I noticed that someone here (astrobass) did a schematic a while back, which I'll link below.

Anyone got any ideas for tweaks to this circuit? I paid $22 for the pedal, so I don't feel terrible about using it as a testbed for experimentation. And I'd really love to get it singing a little more pleasantly.

Rob- Check out R.G.'s write-up on wah pedals. That should point you in the right direction
