Just wonder if anyone here tried a DOD230 noise gate?
Is this schematic verified?
Can I use a TL074 quad opamp in replace of the TL022 and LM358?
Also how do I add a release control in this schematic?

Many thanks.

The TL022 was probably chosen for low-current reasons. Maybe a TL062 will sub for that one?

No. You can replace the TL022 with a TL072, but you need a single supply op-amp like the LM358 for the side chain as it has to work with its input pulled to the ground - see what the switch is doing?

What about using a LM324 single supply quad opamp?
I want to keep the parts count as low as possible.?

Why not try an LM6132 or LT1014 as they are both viable options. You could also go the route of an AD822 or MC33171 / MC33172. Various other options exist.
