I finally ordered a Bare Box 2 from Small Bear Electronics and it just got here. Very nice size. I thought it was going to be more Mutron-sized, but it's actually pretty compact while still bigger and more useful for more complicated builds than the original. I've got it sitting next to a powder-coated Bare Box 1 to make it easier to compare the sizes. The Bare Box 1 is similar in size to a Boss or Ibanez pedal. Between the two sizes, I think he's got a lot of territory covered here!

I meant it to be similar in size to a "BB". The folded-metal style is expensive per piece, but there's no tooling charge and minimum run is only 500. So I can get other versions with machined-in studs, pre-drilled, etc. if this works out.

Nice powder-coat job on the Bare Box #1! Who did it?

That powder coating job is from Pedal Parts Plus. He really does nice work.

The only thing that jumps out at me is that I'll have to figure out some kind of little jig to hold it when I drill it, but that's minor. Love the size, though. I've been wanting to do a few Octavia and Brassmaster builds where clearing the transformer is an issue, but this will be perfect.

Again, great enclosure here. I think they're going to be really handy!
