Hey guys, new member question for ya. I had a 2nd ds-1 lying around that I fixed after I realized it was simply a bad solder connection(and learning to solder lol). I looked up a few easy mods for it and ended up clipping the D4 and D5 capacitors which made it a lot louder and less distorted. More like overdrive at this point.
I found a fuzz mod on youtube that I attemppted: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EbrinuzoDyc
Doing the crossover was no problem, but I also tried to re-solder the D-capacitors.
Now there is a high pitched squealing whenever I adjust the gain knob and if I turn it all the way to the right, there is warbling of sound; Idk how to explain, something like a tremelo of static?
This stombox is just a sandbox(no pun intended) at this point so I'm not really out anything if I ruined it, but any help would be greatly appreciated at this point. Thanks!

D4 and D5 diodes, right?  Not capacitors.  So it might be a matter of how you clipped them and how you resoldered them.  Got pictures of the top and bottom of the board?

If you think resoldering them caused the problem, then DEsolder them again -- unless you made a solder bridge back to the circuit path, the diodes shouldn't cause a new problem.  I'd more suspect the other mod.
