Hi,
I'm building a MI crunch box following this vero layout but I'll have to somehow bypass the presence control, so it would be all the way up all the time. Can anyone help me with it?
Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the forum! The presence control is the trim pot so you can build as per the layout and adjust the trimmer to your liking.

Well, I didn't explain but I didn't find a proper trimpot in my city... And I can't use a regular pot instead because it doesn't fit on the enclosure...

If you want to set the presence control to maximum, so it's not reducing the treble, fit a jumper wire connecting the holes on the rows next to "Vol 3" and "Tone 1 & 2" and then fit a 20k resistor from the "Vol 3" row to the row above next to the 22n capacitor. If you want minimum presence, so it's cutting treble, reverse the positions of the jumper wire and resistor.

Hope that makes sense :)

Thanks for the reply,
So... If I wanted the presence control on its half, I would just need to replace the 20k resistor for a 10k?

for half you would place a 10k between pin 1 and 2 of the trimmer location and another 10k between pin 2 and 3 of the trimmer location
You've got to love obsolete technology.....
