Mxr Phase 100 works but not real prominent

I finished an MXR phase 100 on vero a few months ago. It works on all the settings . I got to compare it to a real one the other night . Thereal one had much more phase and effect. I triple checked all my parts values and connections. I am wondering if i might need to swap out a vactrol or something. I think I even changed out the opamps because that was easy and I had some a few months ago. Where should I start? I did have to lower the input resistor because I had a squeall going on and fixed that.

The doc states that the vactrols are matched.

I read that you had a "squeal" going on...and changed the input resistor.
It might be a good idea to post a link to the schematic that you used for the build.
