for any other ancient history spelunkers like me, i get all the parts at tayda now, it's wicked cheap. takes about 5 minutes to make custom jumpers for your pedalboard now in future land... buy 1/8th inch mono plugs, and 2.1mm x 5 or 5.5mm (better for say, a crybaby) and some decent wire and you're good to go. stronger, lasts longer, and you can make the cables no longer than they need to be, which is especially more useful if you use dc brick kinda power supplies like me. just remember most of the pedals out there are center negative like boss, so if you use say, speaker cord or something similar just remember which side is which when wiring. works great, to me it's most def worth the little extra effort if your stuff is gonna get as abused as mine tends to.

One thing to think about: most pedals require a centre negative plug which means if you buy a cord with more outlets than you need, an unused plug could make contact with a stompbox chassis and short everything out.

yeah, i was reading one of RG's posts about that just before i came upon this thread. it can happen REALLY easily.

every once in a while an unused dc plug would touch the metal chassis of certain pedals and turn it on or off.  Searched hi and low for a nice little cap that once could use to cover up unused power plugs.
Finally found the perfect-fitting safety cover for unused plugs.  More pedals.

BTW, it would probably be cheaper to go to an auto parts store and buy a length of rubber tubing of the right ID and make your own.

A foot of inexpensive vacuum line would do the trick. Forever.  :icon_cool:
