DOD classic fuzz LED never off when using battery (FIXED)

I added a Boss barrel style power jack to this DOD pedal. The LED works normal with the power adapter but when I use a battery, the LED never fully goes out. Anyone know why this could be?

can you show us a circuit diagram?

well, that just doesn't make sense. can you measure the voltage of both the external supply, when connected to and powering the pedal, and the offending battery, also when powering the pedal? and post voltages. and, is it all batteries, or just that one that dim lights the led?

Wow, yeah - it was the battery. That is odd. I don't know why that happened.

so, now, what is the voltage of that battery when powering the circuit, and, for fun, the battery voltage out of the pedal?
