1n914s are a dime a dozen. Is it paramount to have NOS parts?
Are you making undestinguishable clones?
Should you find the diodes in your picture or the ones talked about by RG here .
Would you be able to hear the difference?
I doubt it.

I'm perplexed by your quest for defunct parts......
Perhaps you'd care to expand.

I just want to know what diodes are in my pedal?  I'm ordering a few more to do a asymmetrical clipping mod.  Also I just want to know for curiosity sake. I never said they have to be NOS or anything along those lines I just don't know what they are and can't find anything online that looks like them to give me a idea. Except the ones that are in the KOT and I know they wouldn't be those

This is a reissue so I'm sure there not NOS either.  It's more curiosity then anything though. I have this thing where I like to know as much about the pedals I own as possible as well. Thanks for the reply

Hahahah wow :icon_redface:. Thanks.  Way more obvious when you know already though:p. Now I know.   Why would they put NOS diodes in the reissue, are people really that crazy that they had to use NOS for them to sell?  :icon_neutral:

It took me less than 2 seconds to find that on Google.
If I had to guess they just used what they had in stock. Not some sort of mojo magic.
As I don't think you wouldn't hear a differerance from NOS 914s to a brand new cheap Chinese 914.
At the end of the day you could probably do the same thing with a crapped out silicone transistor, led, etc.
this is guitar distortion clipping not some hifi application with matched parts criteria.
My electrons don't know that Phillips, Sony, etc  didn't make my electrolytic capacitor.

I hope you find out what parts are in your pedals.

you keep saying mojo parts and all these other things that I never even hinted at. No idea why you think I seem to think there magic lol.  Maybe I'll buy the ones in the ads and bury them and see if a bean stock shoots up to the heavens
