Gargletron Garble.

With a view to using the gargletron as part of an experimental build.
I would like to ask a few questions of you guys.
Despite not having built it. I'm unsure how effective the vowel sounds are.
So with that in mind.
Anyone built it?
Is it good?

Now for the stupid questions.
Can I just upscale the filter caps and resistors and expect similar results?
Reason being I want to vary the resistance of the gargle resistor 470r and feel like if I use an Ldr the 470r would need to be initially much bigger for a start with.

What are the 2x silicon diodes doing down in the bottom left corner? Clipping?

Not sure that varying the 470r is going to do much good. I think the "tune" is the two halves of the 10K pot.

If you significantly up-impedance, 680pFd becomes say 68pFd and stray capacitance matters. Tune will change when your hand is near. Or when you go from open breadboard to a metal box.
