Mod for swollen pickle

Hey folks,

Does anyone have any input on how to make the swollen pickle mkii more "transparent" or maybe just lower the gain? I find myself running the sustain knob at about 20%, and that is already almost too much drive. I had considered changing the leds and diodes, or maybe the value of the sustain knob. Any input would be much appreciated. And this is my first post here so feel free to point me in the proper direction if ive made any protocol mistakes.
