USB or MIDI trigger pedal?

I use ableton a lot and have an FCB1010 to control it which is awesome.

Problem is that this interface is pretty big so I wanted to build a smaller pedal for simpler setups.

Is anyone aware of a cheap and easy method to create something the size of a 1590 enclosure with just two buttons (for loop & stop)?

Lots of simple MIDI Arduino projects can be found. You can buy a Arduino Nano clone for a few dollars on eBay and make a simple MIDI trigger pretty easily.
