I have a Tayda stereo enlosed jack

I have a little solid state combo amp. I want to cut the wire going to speaker, drill a hole in the chasis and solder cable to jack, and use the existing cable and solder that to jack. I dont want to do the two seperate jacks and have to use a speaker cable. I know there are the switched jacks that tayda has but i dont know why this wouldnt work. When i insert a cable there are two tabs that "lift" one T and one from S. I understand why it wouldnt work for a stereo out, but shouldnt it work for Mono out?  Just dont wanna spend $20 bucks on a speaker cable and another 5 or 10 bucks ordering the jacks. I built a cool 386 amp with lm741 buffer from this guys website.

It sounds really good, the thing that IMO makes it better than the Noisy Cricket is the volume is attenuated, I changed the Vol pot to a 100k, because guitar i have has high output humbuckers, but it can go from clean to very high gain distortion, and you can get the same tone and super low volume levels or crank it and its pretty loud. Im gonna replace the 741 with a tl071 I think itll enhance the tone. But id like to integrate that jack into combo amp to avoid having hanging jack and speaker cable thing. Thanks for any replies.

That should work for stereo.

For mono, just ignore the Ring terminals.
