Hi, complete beginner here.
Built one of these 1 into 3 jfet buffered splitters for guitar use:http://www.muzique.com/lab/splitter.htm

Tested with one in, one out; sound comes through unpowered but weaker than direct. When I plug the power cable in the signal goes even weaker and distorts a little.

- Replaced R2 and R3 with 10M
- crammed into small box
- double side taped to case

Parts used:
J201 (fet)
Nichicon 1uF / 50V UPW
100nF (0.1uF) / 50V ceramic
10 Mohm 1W
100 Kohm 0.25W
10 Kohm 0.25W
Neutrik NMJ2HC-S mono jacks

DC in jack:
I connected to 1 and 2. GND to the big tab and +9V to tab 2. Normal center negative psu. No battery is going to be used so I can skip tab 3 on DC jack, right?.

No GND on the output jacks as you can see. Is this correct?

Any suggestions/advice appreciated! Don't be afraid to ask or call me a moron.  :icon_mrgreen:

Hello Tisca and welcome to the forum!!!

Just wondering: I can't see the jumper (from A4 to C4 on the layout)
Is it there?

Oh FML! That's at least one thing missing. How did I not notice that.
Thx Hemmel! Brb.

EDIT: It's working. Luckily it was an easy fix. Quick response much appreciated!

My pleasure, Tisca.

We've all had this type of oversight.

Glad I could help!
