MXR Bass DI+ making strange noise

Hi everyone!

I have a little problem with a MXR Bass DI+. It started making some noise, some sort of "interference", and when I engage the distortion, the noise gets louder.

Any clues on where to start looking?

the first thing you can check for is loose or disconnected wires inside, as well as verifiying all the functions of the pedal and seeing what might make the noise worse.

it's possible a component (likely an IC or transistor, im not familiar with the circuit) has gone bad.
