As one of many disciples here, I would certainly be remiss if I did not take this opportunity to say thanks to Mark and the other prophets.   :icon_cool:

+1000!   :icon_mrgreen: :icon_mrgreen: :icon_mrgreen: :icon_mrgreen: :icon_mrgreen: :icon_exclaim:

Mark is a guy who can make the warmth of his character pass trough digital internet network cables.  I am sure he can do it also with his digital guitar effects.

I have the pleasure of living in the same city as Mark. I have visited his house several times and have had a very enjoyable experience. You know when you were a child and woke up on Christmas morn? That's how excited and involved Mark is about this hobby we share. I have a formal education in electronics, and the man continues to blow my mind with his insight and knowledge. He has been there to trade parts with me, and even lent me a Crank pedal to try in my rig. I still haven't built one- too many other projects at the moment, plus I've been gigging with acoustic guitars mostly. Mark is a good human being. Period. I got to play almost all of his pedals through that Fender amp. It was niiiiice. There isn't a word to describe his kindness and generosity.
Thanks for being here, Mark.

Well, you're all too kind....and inaccurate.  It was $30, R.G........Canadian. :icon_wink:

Damn, that's about ten times cheaper than what I paid for mine...:)  Hi Mark, long time no talk!

If you think that's bad, you should see the blonde Showman I just scored for $1200!  It's a '62 Oxblood head in great shape with original tubes and a blonde/wheat 2x12 Bassman or Bandmaster cab with 2 original JBL D120s...now I REALLY suck!

;D

Cool! I love those rough blonde amps with oxblood, I had a Bassman head I should have never sold, best tone ever.

Have fun and hope to see you on tour!

My family and I were invited to Marks home for brunch a few years ago when we were in his City  for the Ottawa Blues Festival.
He's a very gracious man with a wonderful family and we had a lovely visit.

I had a similar experience when Mark was in Brooklyn for a visit, and what you say is very true.

Mrs. Hammer is actually the brains of the operation, BTW.

The name alone conjures up feelings like if you mention Tim Horton's or  in the old days when I used to travel abroad and would get on a Canadian airlines plane I would feel like I was home already,Mark elicits those feelings of familiarity,I still have a chorus that he helped me mod by adding a cap and a switch, simple concise advice that works.we almost me backstage at the Sound of music festival in Burlington one summer but I failed to find him,my fault my loss.

Mark's posts make me optimistic about just how deep into electronics you can go through sheer love of doing so. that's the impression i get. his explanations are very detailed yet very digestable, and i've been really grateful more than once for some of the old magazine scans over at Ampage. so thanks, Mark!
