ITT germanium transistors any good for a range master clone

Thx for any replies gang,will be going through my stash today and hoping to find germanium transistors that will work good in a range master clone,right now I'm looking at a ITT 951

Are you sure about that one? Google doesn't have much to offer for that. Do you have a diode checker on your voltmeter?
This is Geofex. He has an article on picking germanium transistors. It's for a fuzz face, but it tells you how to measure gain. And leakage. Otherwise, the use of Ge transistors is quite a crapshoot.

The rangemaster wants to see a particular gain and leakage range (most Ge fuzzes will, to varying degrees). You can search that in this forum.

I do have a sencore tf30 I picked up for 5 bucks with manual,but have never used.about time I break my self in on this device,forgot I had it..doh
